Mechanical Engineering – B.Eng

Course description:

   This degree gives you a solid grounding in mechanical engineering. It covers all the essentials with an emphasis on modelling and design. You'll be introduced to the role of engineering in business and management, and you'll complete an individual project in an area that interests you. At MUT you will not just become a skilled engineer. You will develop essential skills for self-learning and problem solving.

In the first three years, you'll follow a core syllabus in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, mathematics and management. Modules cover mathematics, applied dynamics, mechanics of fluids, mechanics of solids, applied thermodynamics, mechanical behaviour of materials, and electrical and electronic engineering. Your final year includes an individual project on a topic of your choosing.
